Black woman in white world

You don’t know how it feels to have to bite yuh tongue
Forever correcting the truth that comes out yuh mouth turn it into a lie so I can fit in and be fly
Holding myself to standards that maybe I can’t achieve you wouldn’t believe how often I want to scream but I’m not an angry black woman im a black woman who gets angry sometimes ha
Anger frustration feeling my place isn’t here where do I belong is the world no longer mine or am in for a surprise
Do you know how it feels to be told to stop over reacting to because I said don’t touch my hair while they stare with a glare questioning my audacity as if I’m a plastic barbie with no emotions
Obey the rules or get over ruled
I’m a black woman in a white world……
