29 not dead…..

Let me tell you I feel like screaming at the top of my lungs!!! Why you ask? Well let me tell you I’m tired of being made to feel as if I’ve not achieved anything because I’m 29 and not married nor have I completed my degree yet. Who created the standards, of what you are supposed to do by a certain time frame. You know the whole if you aren’t living on your own, with 2.4 children by such and such an age then that’s it your useless devoid of purpose I mean really (inserts major side eye here’

No one is born ready made if we were what would our purpose in life be? If we were born knowing everything there is to know and having achieved everything society dictates that makes you a worthy individual to contribute to the economy would you still have the feeling of emptiness? Would you still strive hard to get what you want out of life. Ain’t no spoonfeeding here πŸ˜’πŸ˜’ this is real life and you have to grow and evolve on your own and no one can make you feel bad for not having gained everything you need to….,

So in conclusion to this relatively short blog im saying so you don’t ever feel you have to rush through life, stumbling blocks were created to humble us when we got a little above ourselves confidence and consistency is key cockiness has no place when you are trying to succeed. Neither are negative Nancy’s who attack you because you aren’t what they pictured you to be because you are a certain age so I say again do you, work at your own pace!! Slow and steady wins the race remember πŸ‘ŒπŸΎ

  1. I LOVE THIS!! I am 33 and STILL not married, no kids, and I am just now going back to college. I like that saying “Don’t let the internet rush you” —everybody has this painted picture of what “Life should be.” I like that I waited. You have so many kids going straight to college at the age of 18 and coming out of college with debt and working at a Retail department because they didn’t know what kind of degree to get or their career path. And then not to mention, you have kids raising kids on top of it. And don’t get me started on the divorce rate of people OUR AGE. Nothing wrong with going at your own in life! Like they say everybody always wants to ask you if you are married, have kids, or have it together but nobody stops to ask if your are HAPPY. #IFeelYourFrustration

  2. I understand where you are coming from.
Problem is people are to judgmental in this world and the judgmental ones are the ones that always have to create a standard and time frame out of every single thing.
You don’t necessarily need a college degree to be successful and you don’t need a spouse or children to be happy.
    Good blog
