Who came up with this fallacy of speaking like a white girl like who I’m not saying this is my recent experience but I want to have an open debate about it?!
It seems to me that when we talk on the idea that black women have to speak a certain way in order to represent the good positive side of being black. Let’s break it down so I gather that speaking black is you using certain lingo and phrase that let’s people know even over the phone yup that’s a black person apparently 🙄, the other ones are every black Caribbean person speaks like a yardie because of course everyone from the West Indies is Jamaican let’s not stop there though, oh as soon as they spot you let’s say hey which part of Africa you from I bet I can figure it out just by you talking 😒. That’s the problem with making assumptions you don’t know what people are truly about you should be mindful of what you say to people and how u perceive cause trust there are plenty black peoples born and raised in England to West Indian parents who have no intention of ever visiting where their parents come from so u can’t expect them to fit into your stereotypes. It’s high unlikely that most people shall change their views on this topic but it is well within my right to say how I feel and voice my inner black girl and let people know there is no right or wrong to speak. Do you black girls do you that’s that magic and it’s black and beautiful…….
